Woolworth Strike |
|||
John
O. Holly and his Future Outlook League held a strike at a local Woolworth’s.
The strike was a call for a boycott of businesses in Cleveland that sold
products in African-American neighborhoods but did not hire African-American
workers. Carl was inspired by John Holly’s work and would eventually
go to John Holly as a young adult for political advice and work. Encyclopedia of Cleveland History- Future Outlook League |
